2024 – a Year Full of Lived Solidarity and Effective Projects

The year 2024 was characterized for we integrate e.V. by strong social engagement, numerous encounters – and projects that create spaces: for empowerment, education, participation, and collective action.

With “we talk about it”, we were able to conduct 41 anti-discrimination workshops in schools and with adults. Particularly moving were the many moments when young people shared their own experiences of discrimination for the first time and advocated for a more just society. The high demand shows how important and effective our educational work is.

In the “we code IT Academy”, we accompanied 40 participants on their journey into the IT world – with individual coaching, mentoring, and practical formats such as hackathons. Visibility, self-confidence, and career prospects were at the center, which was reflected in the successful participation in the Zollhof Hackathon, among other things.

The project “we rock it” once again inspired hundreds of students through personal stories of young people with migration experiences. The authentic insights strengthened self-confidence and hope – especially for young people who are often not heard.

“we climb” was also a weekly highlight for many in 2024. The inclusive bouldering with consistently growing participant numbers became a meeting point for friendship, exercise, and exchange. BR even reported on this special format in a television feature.

With the launch of “we support plus”, we created a comprehensive support service for newly immigrated third-country nationals – from appointment accompaniment and trauma stabilization to leisure activities. In a very short time, a stable team was formed that fills gaps in the support system and sustainably empowers those affected.

Philosophical and cultural spaces were not neglected either: “we philosophy”, the language meetup “we talk”, the workshop series “My God, Your God, No God”, as well as the Black Community Meetings and Exit Racism 2.0 set important impulses in Nuremberg – for self-reflection, empowerment, and anti-discriminatory practice.

All these projects are united by a clear vision: shaping society in solidarity. We thank all the committed individuals, participants, cooperation partners, and sponsors who made 2024 a powerful year.
