New German Unity

On October 2nd, Berlin will be loud – with quiet voices. In front of the Bundestag, the New German Unity will read texts against racism, exclusion, and the shift to the right for 24 hours. One voice carries many voices: stories that otherwise remain unheard. Come by, support the team, and join us in making a statement: Human dignity is inviolable.

Unity in Diversity

One voice. Many voices. A joint stand against racism, exclusion, and the shift to the right.

Who We Are

We are the New German Unity – activists, artists, political people.
We live here. We shape this country. We pay taxes, we raise children, we write books, we love, we grieve.
But we experience daily: Our Germanness is questioned.
By people who claim that “German” is only white, male, hetero, able-bodied.
We say: That is a lie.
Germany is diverse.
Germany is Black, Jewish, Muslim, trans, poor, with an accent, with a wheelchair, with hope in its eyes.
And that is precisely where our strength lies. Strength.

The Campaign
  • Start: October 2, 6 p.m. | End: October 3, 6 p.m.
  • Mirrianne Mahn, author & activist, reads for 24 hours.
